PG&J’s Annual Chili Cook-Off! A Fundraiser for the Kentucky Humane Society

Join us for our Annual Chili Cook-off and Benefit on Saturday, September 28th. From 1-4 pm. This event is not just a cook-off; it’s a fundraiser for the Kentucky Humane Society. All registration fees and chili purchases will directly support KHS. The first 20 people to register and pay will be entered. There will be five total judges. Three local celebrities, one from PG&J and one from KHS, will judge the chili.

The registration fee is $25. Entry fees must be paid via Venmo to @pgjdogbar, stating “Chili Cook-off Registration Fee” and your name, or you can pay cash at the bar (PG&J’s).

Prizes awarded to the top 3 choices PLUS: 1st: $100, 2nd: $50, 3rd: $25

Rules
• Bring at least one large crockpot of your chili.
• Bring an extension cord.
• Bring a serving spoon or ladle and any other utensils you need.
• Please don’t show your name on or near your crockpot.
• Chili drop-off will be from 12:30 to 12:50. Our event staff can help you with setup.
• You may pull into the lot to drop off your chili, but you must park on the street (Baxter, Breckinridge, or any surrounding streets). The front parking lot will be roped off for the event.
• The awards ceremony is 3:00-3:30.
• We ask that you keep your chili for sale until 4 pm or until it is gone.

Chili is sold by the bowl, in 10 sample cups, and as chili dogs. PG&J’s will provide the bowls and cups. The proceeds from the chili sale will be donated to the Kentucky Humane Society.

The front lot will be kid-friendly. Inside the bar and park, it is 21+, and all dogs must meet PG&J’s requirements. 

Dog Requirements: You must have vet records (paper or digital) showing that your dog is spayed or neutered and vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella. Dogs must be 4 months or older.
